Monica Fedrigo cello, composition
Victoria (B.C.) cellist Monica Fedrigo holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Victoria and a Master of Music from the University of Akron (Ohio). As a freelance cellist in chamber ensembles, orchestras,
jazz and Cuban ensembles, Ms. Fedrigo has worked with John Millard, Barry Romberg, David Buchbinder, “VEJI” (Vancouver Ensemble of Jazz Improvisation”) and the Cuban ensemble Tipica Toronto.
For the last seven years, she has composed and arranged music for both of her jazz ensembles, Runcible Spoon and the Mirobolus Trio. Her compositions have been recorded for CD release, been featured on CBC radio and performed in Canadian Jazz Festivals.
